Commenting on Paul Nuttall’s speech this morning, outlining Ukip’s six tests for Brexit, Peter Kyle MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:
“Paul Nuttall’s speech today was a blueprint for the hardest of Brexits, that will leave working families worse off.
“He has claimed to be a professional footballer with a PhD, but not even he could get away with posing as a trade expert.
“Leaving the EU without a deal and trading under WTO rules will hammer our trade, put jobs at risk, and increase prices in the shops. No-one should be fooled by Ukip’s hard Brexit agenda.
“Paul Nuttall is a fantasist when it comes to his own career, and a fantasist who cannot be trusted when it comes to Britain’s prospects if we crash out of the EU without a plan.”
