McGovern – Report shows British public want the Government to drop its migration target

Commenting on the report out today by British Future, which shows that 63% of the public want the Government to drop its ‘tens of thousands’ migration target, Alison McGovern MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:

“Today’s report by British Future is as damaging for the Government as the ‘tens of thousands’ net migration target would be for our economy.

“Trade Unions, businesses and a majority of the public, including 72% of Conservative voters, all agree that migration is good for our public services and the wider economy.

“The Government should listen to the voices of businesses, unions and the British public and drop its unnecessary and unpopular target.”
