Following the news that UK cars sales have fallen for the first time in 5 years, Wes Streeting MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:
“This is yet another sign of our stalling economy being stuck in the slow lane. Consumer confidence has been in decline since the Brexit vote and plummeting car sales are a clear indication of that.
“It’s clear that as the Brexit process continues, facts are starting to come to light which no-one could have known at the time of the referendum.
“As Lord Kerr, the architect of Article 50, has confirmed, there is a reverse gear on Brexit if the British public change their minds.”
