Streeting – Government need to do their homework on Brexit with no deal

Commenting on the latest report from the House of Commons Exiting the European Union Select Committee, Wes Streeting MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:

“This cross-party report is utterly devastating for the Government.

“They have spent months pretending that leaving the European Union with no deal, and defaulting onto crippling trade tariffs, would be an acceptable outcome.

“But now they are being slammed for failing to do any analysis to back up this claim.

“If Ministers really want us to believe that Brexit would no deal would be fine, or that they can negotiate a trade deal that gives us the ‘exact same benefits’ as we have as a member of the Single Market, they will have to start doing their homework.”
