Bradshaw – Bluster from Boris Johnson to hide “hard Brexit threat to NHS”

Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson is reportedly to demand that the Cabinet commit to spending an additional £100 million a week on the NHS – after Brexit.

Ben Bradshaw MP, leading supporter of the Open Britain campaign, said:

"The NHS desperately needs more funding. What it doesn’t need is more lies and headline-grabbing bluster from Boris Johnson.

“He and other Leave campaigners in the Cabinet know they lied to the public by promising Brexit would deliver £350m a week for the NHS.

“Brexit is badly damaging the NHS’s staffing levels and funding. If Boris and his colleagues actually valued our health service they would not be pushing for a hard Brexit, which is the greatest threat the NHS faces.”
