Bradshaw – Dyson might be relaxed about no deal, but it will be a disaster for ordinary British businesses

Commenting on the news that James Dyson has said that a no deal Brexit wouldn’t hurt Britain, Ben Bradshaw MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:

“James Dyson might be relaxed about the prospect of no deal but that may well be because he outsourced his manufacturing to Asia years ago and trades outside the Single Market and Customs Union.

“For ordinary British businesses which make the goods we sell to the EU, no deal will be a disaster that slaps punishing tariffs on half of everything we export.

“If we want to put British jobs first, the Government must drop its damaging mantra that no deal is better than a bad deal and put Single Market and Customs Union membership back on the table.”
