Bryant – REC report shows Government should drop its immigration target

Britain will still need EU nationals to come and work here after Brexit, the Recruitment and Employment Confederation (REC) say today in a new report, ‘Ready, willing and able? Can the UK labour force meet demand after Brexit?’.

Commenting, Chris Bryant MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:

“This study shows how vitally important it is for employers to be able to continue to recruit EU nationals to fill jobs in this country where we have skills shortages.

“EU nationals play a crucial role in Britain and make a huge contribution to our businesses, our public services and our economy. This survey should act as a wake-up call to the Government to drop its divisive net migration target and make clear that EU citizens will be welcome in Britain after Brexit.”
