Creasy – Government should be spending money on our NHS, not a no-deal Brexit

The Government is planning to spend billions of pounds preparing for a Brexit with no deal, today’s Sunday Telegraph reports.

Commenting, Stella Creasy MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:

“This Government can find the cash to pay for their mistakes, but not the nurses our NHS desperately needs. It is disgraceful that while our NHS is crumbling due to lack of funds, the Government can find billions of pounds down the back of the sofa to spend on a destructive, extreme Brexit with no deal at all.

“Instead of spending billions on the hardest and most painful form of Brexit, the Government should be focusing on making real progress in the Brexit talks. They should start by revisiting their ideological choice to leave the Single Market and the Customs Union, which will put our trade with Europe at risk.”
