Commenting on the deepening winter crisis facing the NHS, Dr Paul Williams MP, former GP and leading supporter of Open Britain, said:
“The crisis in the NHS looks set to be the worst in recent history. As Brexit suffocates our economy, the impact is being felt in hospital waiting rooms and corridors up and down the country.
“Leave campaigners promised on the side of a bus that Brexit would lead to a £350m a week cash injection for the health service. The reality is we will see less money, longer waiting times, and an exodus of the European doctors and nurses that the NHS relies on.
“As new facts like these come to light, everyone has the right to keep an open mind about whether this is the right future for our country and our health service. Brexit is not a panacea for the NHS, but its biggest threat.”
