There is reportedly more uncertainty today about whether or not the Brexit Secretary, David Davis, will resign over disagreements relating to the Government’s plans for the Northern Ireland so-called ‘backstop’ proposal.
Commenting, Peter Kyle MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“Nearly two years after the Brexit referendum, with our economy suffering from constant uncertainty and with real people's jobs on the line, it is disgraceful that the Government still can't even agree with itself on the best way forward.
“With the Government’s chief Brexit negotiator reportedly on the verge of quitting, and not for the first time, we can all see for ourselves just how badly the negotiations are going.
“‘With Ministers incapable of agreeing a way forward and parliament paralysed by party politics, there is only one way to proceed and that’s by laying the final deal before the country with a People’s Vote.”
