Commenting on the Prime Minister’s appearance at the Liaison Committee today, Norman Lamb MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:
“Britain voted for Brexit, but not for any specific Brexit deal. That means it is vital that Parliament and the people get a say on the final agreement negotiated between the UK and the EU.
“There is no point publishing a plan which is in fact a fait accompli. We need scrutiny to unite those on all sides of the debate.
“Leave campaigners have spent decades lecturing us on the need to restore Parliamentary sovereignty, so it would be perverse if they denied Parliament a say on the most important deal this country will strike for decades.”
