UK car sales have slumped by 11% in November, new figures from the Society for Motor Manufacturers and Traders released this morning show.
Commenting, Chris Leslie MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:
“With car sales set for their first annual fall since 2011, we see yet again that Brexit is already damaging our economy and many of our key industries, putting people’s jobs at risk.
“We were promised leaving the EU would be easy. But instead we see our economy slowing, prices rising, and a £50 billion Brexit bill even as the negotiations remain stuck in the mud.
“As these new facts emerge, we don’t just need to accept a Brexit that will make working people worse off. Voters have the right to keep an open mind.”
