Angela Merkel and Theresa May held a meeting earlier today in Berlin, which touched on a number of subjects, including Brexit. It was followed by a joint press conference.
Commenting, Chris Leslie MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:
"Once again, Theresa May, when presented with an opportunity on the global stage to provide serious detail about her Government’s plans for Brexit, was found wanting.
“This was yet another speech devoid of substance, laced with the usual aspirational empty words we are now so used to as we plough on aimlessly through the Brexit negotiations.
“For all of us now it is becoming ever clearer by the day what Brexit is turning out to be in practice. Uncertainty, a lack of clarity and a path leading off a cliff. Faced with these facts, everybody should have the right to say enough is enough and look to change course for the good of the country.”
