The Prime Minister made a statement to the House of Commons today in which she repeated her warning from her Friday speech that Brexit would result in less access to the European Single Market.
Commenting, Pat McFadden MP, leading supporter of the Open Britain campaign, said:
“The Prime Minister’s admission that we will have less access to Europe’s markets if Brexit happens is the public burial of the claims made by David Davis that his aim was to deliver ‘the exact same benefits’ in any trade deal.
“Less access means less trade and less trade means there will be an economic cost to Brexit. It is now essential that she tells the country what that cost will be and who will be paying it.”
