McGovern – Economists for Free Trade guilty of ‘eccentric views and shallow analysis’

Commenting on the latest Economists for Free Trade report, released tomorrow (Thursday), Alison McGovern MP, leading supporter of Open Britain, said:

“There are members of the Flat Earth Society with more credibility than Economists for Free Trade. 

“Their leading light has previously said that their grand plan to unilaterally eliminate all our tariffs would ‘eliminate British manufacturing’. 

“Now they are ignoring all expert studies, and the fact that the EU is now growing faster than the UK, to claim that the Single Market is bad for the British economy.

“We must keep Britain in the Single Market and the Customs Union to protect our economy, and ignore the eccentric views and shallow analysis of these hard Brextremists.”
