New polling published today (Monday) by YouGov and commissioned by the campaign group Best for Britain shows that the public want a vote on the final terms of Brexit. The poll found that 44% of people want a 'final say' on the Brexit deal that Theresa May is negotiating compared to 36% who do not.
Commenting, James McGrory, Executive Director of Open Britain, said:
“This is yet more evidence that there is an increasing desire for the people to be given a say on the final Brexit deal.
“Since the referendum, new facts have emerged about the costs and complexity of Brexit that no one could have known at the time.
“As it becomes ever clearer that the Brexit promised is not the one that is being delivered, it’s not surprising that the public do not want to leave it to politicians alone to decide the country’s future.”
