Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson has said he “probably needs” a dedicated private plane.
Commenting, James McGrory, Executive Director of Open Britain and a leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“It started with Brexit and it's ended with Brexjet.
“Nobody voted for Boris Johnson to get a private jet, but given he is unable to deliver on any of his other promises on Brexit, the Brexjet is what we are going to get.
“Let's hope, though, that Brexjet is more successful than Brexit.
“Because if it follows the pattern of the negotiations, it will be chartered to Beijing and end up stuck in Belfast, its engines smothered in red tape and its cargo of chlorinated chicken rotting faster than a promise to give the NHS an additional £350 million a week.
“We don't want BoJo’s Brexjet, what we need is a People's Vote on the final Brexit deal.”
