Murray – Scottish Conservatives should “think long and hard” about Brexit

Ruth Davidson, leader of the Scottish Conservatives, has expressed her frustration at the government’s handling of Brexit legislation in an interview with the BBC.

Commenting, Ian Murray MP, a leading supporter of the Open Britain campaign, said:

“The threat the Government’s Brexit legislation poses to the devolution settlement is yet another sign that Brexit is much more complicated, risky and dangerous than anyone was told at the time of the referendum.

"Even the Leader of the Scottish Conservative Party is telling the Prime Minister that her policies on Brexit are a mess.

“I would urge Scottish Conservatives to think long and hard about Brexit and join those of us in all parties and none who are opposing the hard and destructive Brexit path currently being charted by the Government before the self harm inflicted on our country is irreversible.”
