The latest round of Brexit negotiations has ended in acrimony and this morning the Prime Minister’s adviser on European policy, Olly Robbins, has been forced to issue a statement defending the conduct of British officials.
Commenting, Gareth Thomas MP, leading supporter of the People’s Vote campaign, said:
“The Brexit soap opera is going from bad to much worse with the latest round of negotiations ending in temper tantrums in Brussels.
“Nothing matters more than our national security, yet childish squabbles and grandstanding suggest ideology is being put ahead of protecting the people of Britain.
“Nobody voted to make our country less safe and if leaving the EU threatens our security we must have a People’s Vote on the final Brexit deal.”
