Give us a plan, Prime Minister
By the end of October, we want Andy Burnham to set out his plan for electoral reform.
Andy Burnham has made a promising start in Downing Street. This is when you fix the roof while the sun is shining.
Political disillusionment has held progress back for years. Fixing our democracy is part of rebuilding the trust needed to change the country.
Before becoming Prime Minister, Burnham backed proportional representation. By the end of October, he’ll have completed his first 100 days.
We want him to set out a clear plan for electoral reform, starting with a commitment to a National Commission on Electoral Reform.
The Commission would be independent, time-limited, involve the public, and require the Government to respond.
We’ve already delivered thousands of signatures to Downing Street and helped supporters contact their MPs. Now we need to turn that pressure into a commitment.
Reform hasn’t disappeared, and the political system underneath it all hasn’t changed.
By the end of Burnham’s first 100 days, we should know how he intends to change it.
Help us keep up the pressure
Your donation will help us reach more people, mobilise supporters, and make this demand harder for Downing Street to ignore.
Political optimism comes and goes. This is our chance to make something more permanent.
Help us push Andy Burnham to set out his plan for electoral reform within his first 100 days.
Thank you for your support.
