My Wasted Vote

We're putting wasted votes on billboards. Real people. Real numbers. Real consequences. Help us take it national.

Millions of people in the UK turn out to vote, and walk away unrepresented.

In seat after seat, First Past the Post throws votes on the scrapheap. Whether it’s because they backed a smaller party, voted tactically, or simply weren’t in the majority, their voices don’t get heard.

We think people deserve to see that.

That’s why we’re launching My Wasted Vote, a bold new campaign to make the reality of our voting system visible and impossible to ignore.

Each billboard costs approximately £2,500 That includes design, printing, and two weeks of display in a strategic location.

Why now? A growing number of MPs are backing electoral reform and we have real energy through our new all-party parliamentary group of MPs on Fair Elections.

But to take this to the next level we must show that there is mass public support behind a fairer, proportional voting system.

Here’s what we’re doing:

We’re putting up striking billboards that feature real people from real constituencies. Ten faces. And the percentage of them whose votes were wasted last time… shown in black and white.

  • Each poster shows how First Past the Post silences voters.

  • Each one is backed by real data and local people.

  • Each one helps build momentum for real political reform.
